Pheasant Outlook & Pheasant Populations 5/28/2010 - The Pheasants have been nesting as of late and we are just starting to see some chics over the last couple days. We are very excited for this upcoming fall! It will be a Great Fall! If you haven't booked your pheasant hunt already, we urge you to do so soon as we are almost full for all of our hunts. Our Pheasant Populations are the BEST in the State!
The following is a map, from the Game, Fish, & Parks, of Pheasant Hunter Densities and Pheasant Density numbers throughout South Dakota. As you can see, we are located right in the middle of "Pheasant Central." Northern Plains Outfitters, Inc. is located at the "X" below. The Game & Fish states that there are greater than 200 Pheasants per square mile where we are located. For those of you that have hunted with us, you know that this isn't true. We have alot more birds than 200 per square mile!
