Started Dogs For Sale At Northern Plains Outfitters, Inc. we feel that there is nothing better than a well trained dog to hunt behind in the field. We don't train our dogs for Field Trials etc. but solely as hunting companions in the field. Our goal is to provide a Top Quality "Started Dog" that is ready to hunt when you are ready to hunt.
You may be asking, "What is a Started Dog"? A started dog is a fully functional hunting dog that has been trained to retrieve ducks and geese from water and land and hunt, flush, and fetch upland birds. These dogs have been trained to come on command, sit on both the voice command and on the whistle. They will also be started on basic hand signals. Below are the dogs we currently have for sale.

 Tank
Tank, a 1 Year Old Male, Black Lab, will be available September 1st, 2011. He has a classic Blocky Head, an athletic body with a stout front end. He has alot of energy and hits the water hard. He will be Obediance Trained, Force Fetched, Collar Conditioned, etc. He will quarter in the field, flush birds, retrieve, and bring to your hand. He will also have waterfowl training in such aspects of blinds, boats, layout blinds, decoys, etc. He will also be started on whistle commands and hand signals. Price $2,100. Chip, a 1 Year Old Male, Chocolate Lab, will be available September 1st, 2011. He is alot like Tank when it comes to looks except his coat is "Grizzly Bear" chocolate in color. He is a beautiful dog. He will be Obediance Trained, Force Fetched, Collar Conditioned, etc. He will quarter in the field, flush birds, retrieve, and bring to your hand. He will also have waterfowl training in such aspects of blinds, boats, layout blinds, decoys, etc. He will also be started on whistle commands and hand signals. Price $2,100. Oz, a 2 Year Old Male, English Springer Spaniel, is available June 1st, 2011. He is Obediance Trained, Force Fetched, Collar Conditioned, etc. He quarters nicely in the field but has not been started on hand signals. He hunted Wild Pheasants last season and performed nicely. He shows great drive, and has an unbelievable nose. I will post his picture soon. Price $1,800. Buddy, a 2 Year Old Male, Black Lab, is available at this time. He is Obediance Trained, Force Fetched, Collar Conditioned, etc. He hunted Wild Pheasants last season and performed very well. He hunts with great speed, desire, and elegance. I know that elegance doesn't get you far in the Pheasant field but I have never seen a dog hunt so effortlessly, he glides across the ground.
